Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Toad go after him. ![]() The story is slightly different from the usual: Instead of capturing Peach, Bowser captures the Sprixie princesses and runs away to the Sprixie Kingdom. The levels are still linear, though less so than in Super Mario 3D Land on the 3DS. This is a 3D platformer, meaning it's not side-scrolling, the characters can go in various directions. Just not as good as Super Mario Galaxy 2, which is hard to top. That doesn't mean it's bad, in fact, it's really good. This Mario platformer is less "Super Mario Galaxy" and more "New Super Mario Bros." in that it is less creative with its level designs than Galaxy and more traditionally "Mario" (meaning more grassy land, more Goombas and Koopa Troopas, less stuff that has't been seen before).
